BACK GROUND OF THE ORGANISATION

Kamuli Good Hope Educational Foundation is a private non profit organization which was founded in 1998 but was officially registered in 2005 by a group of philanthropists headed by sheikh Hussein Sowed Mwase. They were inspired by their own humble background from which they were able to rise and become productive self-reliant people courtesy of the Education they attained through sponsorship by people who never new them.

As corporate social responsibility, the group decided to form a non-profit humanitarian organisation that provides education, health, shelter, food, clothes, start up kits and other humanitarian aid to marginalized communities especially to the women and youth. What started as a small effort in their birth place in Kamuli has since grown into a national wide organization.

LOCTION:

The headquarters of the organization are found in Kamuli municipality, Kamuli district, where the organisation has built the Emirates secondary School and their offices.

FOUNDER'S DREM:

To build a self-sustaining organization to last beyond its founders providing social services and humanitarian Aid with a humane approach to the marginalized communities in Uganda.

VISION:

To be a model self-sustaining humanitarian organisation providing the best social services and humanitarian aid in Uganda.

MISSION:

To provide the best humanitarian and educational services with a humane approach to all deserving persons in Uganda to improve their standard of living.

Organizational objectives:

1. To improve access to education in vulnerable communities through construction of schools.

2. To improve the quality of life of vulnerable communities through construction of water sources and shelters for vulnerable families.

3. To support spiritual, moral and ethical development of the people in the communities for psycho-socio wellbeing as well as responsible and accountable citizenship through outreach programmes.

4. To support orphans and vulnerable children through general welfare support, education and health sponsorship.

5. Poverty alleviation in marginalized community through skills training and providing startup kits to women and youth.

6. To put up income generating projects that will generate income to sustain the activities of the organisation.

7. To carry out any other activity that will be deemed to be important in achieving the organizational goals and objectives

SOURCE OF FUNDING

MGHEF only uses funds from legal sources compatible with the core values of the organisation. Our Major sources are;

1. Founders, members and well-wisher’s contributions in cash and in kind.

2. Community contributions mainly in terms of land and labour.

3. Donors from international relief organizations.

4. Agency funds from people who want charity work done on their behalf basing on the trust earned by the organisation.

Request for funding:

The demand for the services of the organisation in terms of humanitarian support, school buildings, shelters for the homeless and other humanitarian services has surpassed our capacity. We therefore invite upon any organization to join us in this humanitarian struggle to donate to these vulnerable communities. We are a trusted organisation that delivers quality work and services with a humane approach.
